Spring/Summer Season
In Newmarket there is a 3-hour parking limit in effect, day and night, from April 16 to October 31. If you need to park on the street overnight you can apply for a parking exemption. Permits are valid for 24 hours beginning at the time of purchase and are non-refundable. There is a limit of 15 nights per year per license plate.

$5.00 for one day
$15.00 for 5 days

Winter Season
Vehicles can be ticketed if parked on the street between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. from November 1 to April 15.
Free Overnight Parking Permit Program
While winter parking restrictions are in effect you can park in select municipal lots overnight between the hours of 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. with a permit.
It's simple:
- Go to our online parking portal
- Login/create an account
- Click on Order Permit
- Click on Temporary Off-Street Parking Program
- Fill in your details: select the date range, lot and provide your vehicle plate & make
- We'll email you a copy of your permit – no need to print or display the permit
- Move your car from the lot by 7 a.m. each day
- Program runs: November 1 to April 15
