The Keith Davis Tennis Centre is currently under construction as part of the Shining Hill development on Bennington Rd., near Yonge St. and St. John's Sideroad. The facility is scheduled to open at the end of October, 2024.

The centre will be home to 10 tennis courts, 8 of which will be domed for indoor use from October 1 - April 30* each year.  The facility will be operated by the Town of Newmarket during the indoor season.

*Please note that the opening date for 2024 will be delayed until the end of October.

From May 1 to September 30, the Newmarket Community Tennis Club (NCTC) will continue to operate as a non-profit for the outdoor season,
beginning in 2025.

Memberships to the Keith Davis Tennis Centre will be available for purchase beginning Monday September 16th at 8:00 a.m. Tennis memberships for the 2024/2025 indoor season will be prorated to a 6-month season, due to the opening date at the end of October. The centre will be using a tennis specific software called Court Reserve. This will provide easy access to memberships, program registration, and court reservations.

Memberships will be required in order to participate in all programs, with the exception of group lessons which are open to everyone. Members will receive a discounted rate on these classes.

Membership provides access to reserve courts at the centre up to 7 days in advance, at an hourly rate. Members may bring a guest with them to a court booking at an additional $10 fee, and up to a maximum of 5 times per season. For non-members, court bookings are available one day in advance and is subject to an additional cost.

Lessons and programs at the centre will be available to view on Court Reserve beginning on Monday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. Program registration will follow on Wednesday, October 2nd at 8:00 a.m.

Round Robins

Weekly sign up for rotational doubles play with friendly competition.

House League

Pre-scheduled matches, both singles and doubles leagues will be available. Junior house leagues for both Rep team students and recreational lesson participants. League tryouts will be run early in the season.

Group Lessons

A wide variety of classes for all ages and levels. Using progressive equipment for younger and more inexperienced students, lessons start at age 5 with the Red Ball program. 

Clinics and Private Lessons

Group clinics and private instruction are available through the coaching staff. Perfect for getting some extra practice in on an occasional basis.

Interclub Play

Both adult and junior members can tryout for one of our interclub teams where we will be competing against other tennis clubs in York Region and the GTA.

The Newmarket Community Tennis Club (NCTC) is a membership-based organization that operates as a non-profit from May 1 - September 30 each year.  Due to construction developments at the current location of 170 Doug Duncan Drive, the club will be operating on a dispersed model for all their programs and member bookings.

The following outdoor tennis courts have been allocated for NCTC's exclusive use from May 1 - September 30, 2024. During the following hours:

Sunday – Friday: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Art Ferguson (2 courts, with lights)
  • Lions Park (3 courts, with lights)
  • Drew Doak Park (2 courts, without lights)

We have 3 locations for outdoor public tennis (unlit):  

  • Joe Persechini Park (2 tennis courts)
  • Haskett Park (2 tennis courts)
  • Charles Van Zant Park (2 tennis courts)
